Why I Created The Candle Carousel:
- Sustainability: Being vegan and a cruelty free advocate myself, I identified a gap in the market for an affordable, inspiring and eco-friendly Vegan home fragrance brand. The Candle Carousel fills that gap perfectly.
- Aesthetic: I personally feel more connected to past eras and genres of days gone by. I wanted to create a candle brand that took a new innovative approach in regards to sustainability but still embodied a nostalgic aesthetic using colour, props and music; catering to both the older generation and young 'old souls' alike.
- ASMR-Scentsory®: I first discovered Asmr/ambience rooms during the first lockdown and found they were the perfect antidote to both noisy neighbours and moments of low creativity. The animations really helped me to relax both visually and auditory and block out external distractions. I even found they stimulated my imagination. This ASMR-Scentory® concept combined with fragrance is the perfect backdrop to a true multi-sensorial experience.
- Scent The Scene®: Everybody loves a good story especially feel good ones. I personally enjoy poetry and descriptive writing that can transport you to another time or place. I felt that by using literature to set the scene and the mood added yet another sensory layer to the whole Candle Carousel experience.

A Multi-Conceptual Brand: In a world where every brand is aiming to boost their eco credentials, I want to not only talk the talk but walk the walk and while I know the importance of sustainability is paramount, I also want my products to stand out for their personality and purpose too. Being kind to the planet should be standard procedure and I want The Candle Carousel customers to benefit not simply an eco-friendly product but one that excites their imagination and mood also. That’s why I have combined eco credentials with other essential elements such as a nostalgic aesthetic, multi-sensory stimulation, emotion provoking literature and most importantly superb products that look and smell good enough to eat.
